With Friends is all about bringing people together through music. Collaborating with talented artists, the album blends different styles, voices, and moments into something alive and shared. From funky grooves and pop ballads to dance anthems and emotional closers, each track highlights the joy of creating with others. In the end, it’s simple: music is better with friends—and that’s exactly what this album celebrates.

Album Description

Life is better with a buddy by your side, and the same carries through to music. In a world where technology continues to separate us, music constantly swings us back together. In jam rooms, around fire pits, and even shared in the dreaded virtual thread, music invites us to come together and share in an experience.

In a band, discussion is naturally encouraged in a world where it is often overlooked and avoided. Our music is shaped through our mixing of musical backgrounds, linking on the groove, and even the conflicts that can arise in the room. We truly believe music comes to life when more people are involved, which is exactly why we needed to invite more friends into the circle.

With Friends is just this, welcoming more talented musicians into our space. Getting to work with these artists was a real joy, filled with both rhythm and laughs. It made the experience of recording With Friends exactly what we hoped it would be: a fun time with friends. Our team, Daniel Adams (DaCoda), Erin Sullivan, Katherine Moffatt, Nicole Hand, Noah Hamilton, Jing Xia, Josh Bowman, Rob Kleiner, and David Shears, put their hearts and ears on these tracks with us. We are grateful to work with such consummate professionals and to create some real music with them.

The album starts off by bringing “the hmm” with Adam Brings It. Featuring three incredibly talented friends; Erin, Katherine, and Nicole, this blast features an all-female horn section to perfectly complement Adam’s signature groove. From the Stevie Wonder inspired drum grooves (Hunter Madden) to the fireflies who will “swoon and hypnotize,” track one is sure to “bring it.”

You’d be a Fool to miss out on the second track of With Friends. A true pop ballad featuring a NSYNC-esque love ballad between guest vocalist Noah Hamilton and With Violet’s lead vocalist Sarah. This song will have you “dancing round this feeling on the ceiling staring back,” regretting lost lovers and chasing the one who rules your court.

There is “somebody new” waiting on the dance floor. Dancing Where You Left Me Alone, track 3 on With Friends, is a new pop anthem capturing inspiration from greats like Lady Gaga and Addison Rae. Between the roaring bass, Spencer FitzGerald, and the expert pop production by DaCoda, this song will keep you “under the moon making moves.”

A new fan favourite is track four, Failing Fortune. A poppin’ guitar riff, Matthew Cadigan, starts us off strong and gets us “singing songs.” Lyrically, the song begs the question “where do we go from here?” as vocalist Pete and guest vocalist Rachel Cousin dance around each other’s harmonies in this lost love tune. “Two passes for the open road” and for the show to see this one live.

The album ends off with Tripping On Sunshine, leaving you “flat on your face.” A song that made Pete cry for reasons still unknown, you get a real taste of heaven with the ethereal Guzheng performed by Jing Xia. This traditional Chinese instrument pushes your soul higher and really contrasts the Harry Styles-inspired grunge chorus.

Everything is better with Friends. And if three’s a crowd, well, that’s exactly the kind of crowd we want to be in.

ADAM BRINGS IT

Between drunken Yellow Belly and the dulled Ziggy’s Chip Truck, the streetlights on George are shining down as Adam Brings It. Track no. 4 off With Violet’s 2026 With Friends EP, this tune gets the crowd at Martini Bar poppin’, rockin’, and flockin’. With every thump of the bass (Spencer FitzGerald), With Violet is bringing “the hmmm.” Threading pop-funk and enhancing it with big band elements, the track is accompanied by an all-female horn section (Katherine Moffatt: trumpet, Nicole Hand: bari sax, Erin Sullivan: trombone). Adam Brings It pulls inspiration from the dance floors of Stevie Wonder, The Arkells, and even Lady Gaga. A synth-backed saxophone solo (Sarah Newell) spins us back to 2011 with a Last Friday Night Katy Perry nod. A tune with enough smoulder to keep you groovin’ and enough charm to keep you wanting more, Adam Brings It will “swoon and hypnotize.”

FOOL

Love can make you do crazy things. And at the end of the day, we’ve all been that “Fool” for love. The second track off of the “With Friends” EP is a nod to the group’s love of R&B and soulful pop melodies. With hints of NSYNC and modern Bruno Mars, this track keeps you grooving from the ’90s to present day.

Toronto-based artist Noah Hamilton shines while duetting with With Violet’s Sarah Newell. The back and forth keeps the mind “dancing round this feeling” as the tight rhythm section groove (Hunter Madden: Drums, Spencer FitzGerald: Bass, Matthew Cadigan: Guitar, Synth: Pete) keeps you reminiscent of those early 2010s nights when your crush swore they’d be “there for you.” Don’t be a “Fool” and add this song to your R&B pop playlist.
